In partnership with the Northwest Florida SafePath Network.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a dynamic group of teens dedicated to making Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties better for young people. Meeting monthly, YAC members collaborate with Hope Above Fear to identify challenges teens face related to substance use, propose meaningful solutions, and brainstorm ideas for teen-focused events and programs that promote a substance-free lifestyle.
As a YAC member, you’ll also have opportunities to volunteer at special events, gaining valuable experience and making a difference in your community. This is a space where your voice is the most valued and important in the room.
Your time with YAC counts as community service hours. Plus, after attending three consecutive meetings, you can showcase your dedication and leadership skills on job applications or resumes!
Join us in shaping a brighter future for teens in our community.
We're grateful for the support of the Escambia Children's Trust Fund. With their support, every participant in our Youth Advisory Council will receive a Wellness Bag—filled with motivational items, stress-relief tools, and self-care resources. These bags are more than a gift—they’re a symbol of support and a tangible reminder that each teen’s well-being matters from the very beginning. In addition, Council Members will receive a free shirt at their second meeting and a hoodie after their 4th. Incentives won't stop there! Join us to find out more!
